Prepare an Emergency Kit

Gibson Electric Membership Corporation works hard to keep the power on for its customers, but severe weather can sometimes cause outages.  It’s wise to be prepared for electric outages and other emergencies by keeping the following supplies on hand:

• flashlight
• battery operated radio
• fresh batteries
• candles and holders
• matches
• blankets
• wind-up clock
• firewood and kindling
• manual can opener
• charcoal grill (with charcoal and lighter fluid)
• non-perishable food
• drinking water
• paper plates and plastic utensils
