Wray Pulliam Elected to Gibson EMC Board of Trustees

On Tuesday night, March 31, 2015, at the Alamo Elementary School, Gibson Electric Membership Corporation members in District Five elected Wray Pulliam of Alamo to represent them on the cooperative’s board of trustees.  Pulliam won the seat in a close race with Karen Utley of Gadsden.  Members cast 107 votes for Pulliam and 102 votes for Utley.

“It was a good election with two very well-qualified candidates,” said Dan Rodamaker, Gibson EMC President and CEO. “We congratulate Wray and we know he will serve the members of District Five very well,” Rodamaker said.

Pulliam will serve for one year to finish out the unexpired term of Mack Goode.  If the position is contested in 2016, there will be another election for a full three-year term.

Gibson EMC is a not-for-profit, member-owned and member-controlled electric cooperative.  Its 11-member board represents about 35,000 members in parts of eight northwest Tennessee counties (Crockett, Dyer, Gibson, Haywood, Lake, Lauderdale, Madison and Obion).
