Gibson Connect has a Tech Support 2 position open for our Trenton Member Service Center at 1207A S. College St., Trenton, TN.

 

Qualified applicants must:

  • Associate’s degree in technology or other related field of study. Directly related experience may be substituted for a portion of the education requirement.
  • Two to four years of experience in telecom business technical support and sales
  • Two to four years of experience in information technology support
  • Be able to perform the essential functions of the Tech Support 2 position description

 

It is preferred that an applicant:         

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology
  • Certifications or courses related to provisioning of complex telecommunication services including PRI’s, hosted voice, and ethernet, information technology and sales

An Outside Plant Manager position is now open for application in Gibson EMC’s Trenton Member Service Center. In summary, this position oversees the design, construction and maintenance of fiber optic outside plant (and related infrastructure and software/management systems) as well as residential and small business in-premise installs; ensures compliance with contracts, industry, local/state/federal regulations and internal policies/standards (for safety, member care, and system reliability); immediately addresses problems and takes appropriate corrective action; continually evaluates and improves construction, construction specifications and methods, implementing best practices in design and construction for economic efficiency and long-term sustainability.

Qualified applicants must have a Bachelor degree in Engineering, IT, Business or another related field of study or equivalent experience in outside fiber plant management, knowledge of fiber plant design, construction and maintenance (including service drops and in-premise installations), knowledge of fiber network topologies including GPON, and three to four years of experience in the management of people and processes and in customer service.
